Terahertz waves penetrate non-metallic packaging such as cartons, plastics and fabrics, imaging and identifying contraband, hazardous liquids and powder substances hidden inside. This enables contactless, non-destructive rapid screening of parcel contents, filling the detection blind spots left by X-ray and metal detection in certain scenarios.
